Climate sensor
Temperature and humidity of a room.
Mizelum is a family of small wireless sensors with its own radio protocol. Each one sleeps, wakes, reports and sleeps again. A hub on your network hears them all, and one program shows every reading in a terminal or a browser.
Example readings · not a live sensor
Sensors push; nothing polls them. That is what lets a sensor keep its radio off almost all the time and run from a battery.
A small board with a microcontroller and a radio. It sleeps with the radio off, wakes on its own schedule, sends one report and sleeps again.
CH32V003 · nRF24L01+Hears every sensor in range, keeps the latest report of each, and answers questions about them on your network.
CH32V203 · W5500One program on a PC. It asks the hubs, keeps the history, and shows every sensor in a terminal or in a browser.
TUI · dashboard · APIA radio that listens draws about 13 mA, which empties two AA cells in about a week. So a sensor never listens for a question. It sends when it has something, waits for the hub's acknowledgement, and sleeps.
One device can measure several things. Each reading is a sensor of its own, with its own name, gauge and graph: 51330003-42 is the temperature of device 51330003.
The hub speaks plain lines of text. Connect with nc hub 7737, type LIST, and read what every sensor last said.
The device types the protocol names today. One has firmware; the rest exist in the simulator, where the software already shows them.
Temperature and humidity of a room.
The weather outside: air, wind and rain.
What is in the air indoors, and how loud it is.
What a circuit draws, and whether it is switched on.
How full a tank is, and whether it is leaking.
Motion, light, a door or window, and smoke.
Every kind has its tag in the protocol and its icon on screen.
Mizelum is being built protocol first, then software, then hardware.
